Transgenders File Suit Against New York City

A group of transgender residents in New York have filed a lawsuit against the city over the "burdensome requirements" of changing their gender on their birth certificates. The suit claims the city's requirement of a procedure to grant gender changing is discriminatory, as many transgenders cannot afford the surgery.
